Daytrip: Georgetown Waterfront Brunch

Brunch for Ericka‘s birthday at the Georgetown Waterfront yesterday was so nice. A cool breeze coming off the water but still warm in the sun. Boats docked up next to you while you sip a mimosa.

Dang I love the waterfront. I am about to make myself feel really old. Ready?

We used to go out all the time at night at the Georgetown Waterfront. So many memories.

This picture below is what the bar at “Tommy and Joe’s” looks like. On a Saturday night it’s packed and standing room only. I haven’t been in over a year though (that’s a major understatement). Sigh.

I’m older now, we are all getting older now and those kind of nights have been long gone for awhile. Part of me misses it but the other part is totally over hangovers and bar tabs.

Now that I am in the land of diapie changes, pacifiers and baby talk, it’s really nice to together with the ladies and reminisce about our wilder days.

We had the brunch buffet at Tommy and Joe’s. I pretty much ate a bunch of stuff that I couldn’t eat when I was pregnant. You know … raw fish, soft cheese, champagne. Yum.

I know this photo isn’t that pretty but I love oysters. Any why not throw in a side of lox?

Raspberry Crème brûlée and chocolate mousse!

Maggie’s birthday is coming up soon and she is thinking of doing a massive picnic. Everyone would bring their own blanket and a different spread and you can blanket hop. How much fun would that be?

    Looks like a great lunch!
I so don’t miss late nights, bar tabs, and hangovers. Though, unfortunately, I still sometimes get a hang over, just from 2 glasses of red wine!

LOVE your blog and all the great recipes; but the restaurant on the waterfront is “Tony and Joe’s” 🙂
