Taking Stock: 5 Months

Austin turned 5 months old about a week ago. This video is from a few weeks before that, he can give us a full belly laugh now instead of just a short giggle.

He loves bathtime. We love it too.

I saw this list on The Daybook, who got it from Pip at Meet me at Mikes. I thought it would be a great new way of marking each new month with the Munchie!

Making
: Salted caramel sauce
Cooking: Pumpkin pie, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin everything!
Drinking: Butter Toffee Coffee and Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea!
Reading: Thanksgiving recipes galore
Wanting: My hair to grow in faster from the haircut I just got
Looking: For Charles Krauthammer’s new book. It’s sold out at Union Station!
Playing: Halloween music
Wasting: Salted Caramel Sauce … BURNT Salted Caramel Sauce
Sewing: Nope
Wishing: Traffic would get better so I can get home earlier
Enjoying: The cooler weather
Waiting: Until Thanksgiving to give Austin his first real food. Sweet potatoes!
Liking: The golden-ish color that Austin’s hair is growing in as. (still can’t make out what color it is exactly)
Wondering: When his teeth will start cutting … we are pretty sure he is teething right now.
Loving: That Austin is feeling a little better. Not completely but a little.
Hoping: It stays that way.
Marveling: At his ability to kick and smile and look right back at me when I am holding him
Needing: More sleep. Still waking 4-5 times a night.
Smelling: Austin’s new diaper cream from Burts Bees that smells like lavender.
Wearing: Pants that I bought when I interviewed for my job 2 years ago. That means THEY FIT AGAIN.
Following: The news non stop (work)
Noticing: The leaves slowly disappearing as I drive into the city each morning
Knowing: I am extremely blessed to have the love and health that my family has
Thinking: That these days with our first baby and the changing season are going by so quick and they need to be cherished.
Feeling: My little mans soft skin every moment that I can.
Bookmarking: Everything non essential. I only have time for what needs to be done moment by moment.
Opening: Halloween candy that shouldn’t be touched yet :p
Giggling: With Austin
