Skinny Orange Julius

My husband loves the flavor of oranges and cream. Like really loves it. I even made him an “orangesicle” birthday cake this year.

Is it a concidence that I’m a strawberry blond and fair skinned? Probably not 🙂

I suggested last week that I try to make a “clean” orange Julius and since then I’ve had to buy a huge bag of oranges because he wants one almost everyday.

So tasty, 100% clean eating and super simple.

Skinny Orange Julius
(Serves one, I make it in my Ninja)
1 orange
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1ish tablespoons honey (depending on how sweet you like it)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pinch of salt
Ice cubes

1. Zest your orange, you need at-least 1 tablespoon. Cut your orange in half and squeeze the juice of one half into your blender. Slice a few orange segments (with as little rind as possible) from the other half into your blender. Squeeze the rest of that juice from that half into the blender as well.

2. Add your zest, vanilla, honey and almond milk and pinch of salt. Add about 1/2 cup (or 5 medium sized) ice cubes.

3. Blend until totally combined and serve!

It’s so good! I always have honey and vanilla and ice at home so if you really only need to have almond milk and oranges on hand.
