Red White and Sparkling Blueberry Punch

You guys, it’s time… time for outdoor summa, summa time drinking! Who is ready for the long weekend already?


You probably won’t believe me when I say I am not a big drinker (I know, sounds crazy, look at my blog) but it’s true. But those one or two perfect cocktails that set the mood, that’s what it’s all about and summer time drinks are my favorite.

Actually, Nick and I were just trying to figure out where our “happy place” is right now. We were invited to Dave Matthews Band concert for next weekend and three years ago I would have said YES YES YES but instead here was my thought process:
1. We would need to get a babysitter (20 bucks an hour!)
2. Traffic sucks getting in and out of concerts.
3. How late do those things go?
4. I don’t think I can drink that long, I would be tired.

What the heck. I am old and lame.


So I started thinking, well if I don’t want to go to a Dave concert, what does fun look like these days? Here’s what I came up with.

Sitting in a big backyard , far away from traffic with a sprinkler or water table for Austin to stay occupied and happy (getting all the wiggles out safely). Add a few friends and a big bowl of this punch. Maybe some smores and a fire-pit for when it gets dark. Yep. That does it.


I made these adorable ice rings for your punch bowl out of donut molds (because I couldn’t find my bunt pan).

The punch is super simple and bursting with fruit. The trick to making the best punch bowls or sangria is to buy as much fruit as you think you will need, and then buy more. There can never be too much!

Red White and Sparkling Blueberry Punch

Yield: 12 or more drinks

Prep Time: 10 mins


  • 2 bottles Moscato
  • 4 bottles IZZE Sparkling Blueberry juice
  • 3 cups Smirnoff Sorbet Light Pineapple Coconut
  • Endless blueberries and strawberries


1. Pour moscato, IZZE Sparkling Blueberry and vodka into a punch bowl. Add strawberries, blueberries and serve.

Optional: Freeze water and berries in a bunt pan or donut molds for ice rings to keep your punch cold. Freeze overnight and run hot water on the back of the mold to release the ice.
